Cricket fans are in for an exciting month of international action as Bangladesh is all set to tour Sri Lanka for a complete multi-format series, scheduled from June 17 to July 16, 2025. This comprehensive tour will see both nations competing across all three formats of the game: Tests, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

The action-packed tour kicks off with the longest format of the game—Test cricket. The opening Test match is slated to begin on June 17 at the picturesque Galle International Stadium. Following the opener, the second and final Test of the series will take place in Colombo at the historic Sinhalese Sports Club from June 25.

After the two-Test series, attention will turn to the white-ball formats. The ODI series, which consists of three day-night matches, is scheduled to begin on July 2. The first two ODIs will be hosted at the iconic R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo, providing familiar territory for the Sri Lankan team. The third ODI, set for July 8, will take place in Pallekele—a ground known for its vibrant atmosphere and lively pitch.

Immediately following the ODIs, both teams will dive into the shortest format of the game with three T20Is. The opening T20I will be played in Pallekele on July 10, setting the stage for an explosive series. The action then shifts to Dambulla on July 13 for the second T20I, before concluding with the third and final T20I back in Colombo at the R. Premadasa Stadium on July 16.

Bangladesh is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on June 13, allowing the team a few days to acclimate and prepare for the demanding tour ahead. Given the packed itinerary and the mix of conditions across different venues, player management and squad depth will be key factors for both sides.

This tour holds particular significance as it will test the resilience and versatility of the Bangladesh team across all formats. For Sri Lanka, it is an opportunity to defend their unbeaten home record in Test series against Bangladesh and continue building on their white-ball performances.
